Story 002 / CONGRESS Hotel Centrum
Room about a black and white insight into Košice cinematography.
The locals are used to learning about the lives of others through the silver screen. Staying in a monochrome room you write your own script for your Košice story. Be inspired by the city and direct your own visit watched by the local audience raised in the stone cinemas.
The Hotel Centrum stands at the southern end of the centre of the city, immediately next to Košice’s Times Square – Námestie Osloboditeľov. At one time the Uránia Cinema stood here, operating just a short time after the Lumière brothers had brought the first moving pictures. These were times when visiting the cinema was not a privilege, but an integral part of the life of the ordinary Košice people.
